OVERVIEW
Cavium family of Celestial Set Top Box and iDTV processors offer industry leading integration and best price-performance for Set Top Box, Digital TV and High Definition Multimedia player applications. The Celestial CNC1201M product is a highly integrated High Definition H.264 and MPEG-2 Set Top Box and iDTV SoC including support for PCMCIA DVB-CI based conditional access systems, transport, picture quality processing and uses industry standard ARM CPU’s. The High degree of integration deployed in the CNC1201M Set Top Box and iDTV processor family is intended to provide OEMs with aggressive system bill-of-materials (BOM) cost in order to enable mass market adoption in such devices as DVB-T Receivers and Digital Televisions. The CNC1201M includes a full middleware software stack with MHEG-5.
